Jennifer is a registered Midwife with experience working in the clinical environment as a core staff on the Central Birth Suite and the Antenatal Ward. She has also worked within a practice development role, supporting provision of training for the maternity workforce, and offering support to newly qualified Midwives with their transition to a registered role. Drawing upon this experience, Jennifer worked part time as Project Lead on a ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ & South Cumbria LMNS project to standardise the local Midwifery Preceptorship document across 4 local Trusts. This work was implemented in September 2022.

In relation to Higher Education, Jennifer's teaching and support activity spans across several programmes and levels of study, ranging from levels 3 to 7. As part of her role within the University, she has contributed to the delivery of Health and Social Care programmes (including the Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship and Foundation Year in Health and Social Care) and the delivery of the Midwifery undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.

Currently undertaking her Master's in Midwifery Degree, Jennifer is passionate about effective leadership and management and has explored many topics around this. Furthermore, as part of her Master's, she is undertaking an evaluation of her earlier Preceptorship Project.
