Malaysian dentist travels more than 6,500 miles to fulfil graduation dream

A Malaysian dentist has travelled thousands of miles to Preston for his University of Central 成人视频 (UCLan) graduation ceremony.

Kumar Ganesan has completed his Master鈥檚 in implantology part-time over the last three years whilst also running his own dental practice in his native town of Cameron Highlands, which lies around 125 miles north of Kuala Lumpur, getting married and becoming a dad for the first time.

The 29-year-old studied on the implantology course, which is strand of dentistry focused on dental implants, that UCLan runs in Kuala Lumpur. Kumar did most of his training in his home country and travelled to Preston once a year during his studies for additional clinical training.

He said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 certainly been a very busy three years. I鈥檝e had to study in the evenings and at weekends and I couldn鈥檛 have done it without the support of my wife Loshini and the rest of my family. I鈥檝e really enjoyed the course and it was really useful to use UCLan鈥檚 fantastic dental training facilities during my visits to Preston.

鈥淭here is a growing demand for dental implants in Malaysia and now my dental practice will stand out against others because of the additional service we can now offer.鈥

Kumar brought his wife and parents to his UCLan graduation ceremony at Preston鈥檚 Guild Hall. He added: 鈥淚鈥檓 the first person in my family to have a Master鈥檚 qualification so it鈥檚 a very proud moment and that鈥檚 why it was important that I brought my wife and parents to Preston for my graduation ceremony. I鈥檝e really enjoyed my visits to Preston and have always felt very comfortable in the city. I鈥檝e recommended the UCLan implantology Master鈥檚 course to all of my colleagues.鈥
